It is cooler now, and I revel in it. Beautiful blue skies, unsullied by any cloud, and a brisk wind that blows away the past and in the hopes of the holidays.

I always love the holidays - my favorite time of the year. Its the whole peace on earth, goodwill to men part that gets me every time. At the start of them all you have this overwhelming feeling of hope, and that, by Christmas, everything will turn out all right.

People give to the poor, they go to church, sparkling lights are everywhere, and carolers sing just like ministers preach of miracles that can happen in our lives.

Hooray for the holidays, hooray!

I got my books signed by Anne Rice!

Wait.

Allow me to savor such tantalizing words, soft, mellow, and so full of life, clamped beneath the hungry jaws of my mind!

Such beautiful words. Oh, the wondrous English language to create such words!

I stood in line, a last minute decision it was, of hastily driving through the night as car headlights revealed darting, misty shades. Two hours I shifted on my feet, my eyes dragging, sweet, threatening sleep enveloping me in a webbed gauze of agelessness.

Slowly we shuffled, clutching the hard books that smelled sweet and choked with rough uneven pages, craning our necks for a glimpse of Her.

Finally I approached, I said hello with a rather nervous laugh. She is indescribably eerie in person, like a ghost herself. Gray hair bobs to top her chin, high cheekbones, rounded eyes, and yet a spirit that transcends physical appearance to flit impatiently about the room. It was of no other earthly sensation or feeling but of a reveler upon opium, whose brain is rotted and empty in his skull.

She gave me a bit of a smile and such was that.

I got my books signed by Anne Rice!

Hooray!

So, last night I galumphed out with my friends and we saw the matrix revolutions.

I chilled (yes, I said chilled) with Melissa, Tina, and Talia after school. I got into a huge water fight in Melissa's kitchen, got in huge trouble for the huge water fight in Melissa's kitchen, and so we progressed to destroy Tina's house. We were GOING to watching Finding Nemo, but elected to mess around on her piano and play 80's music instead. HEEE!

I then left at 7:00 to The Falls at Friday's to have dinner with a whole mess of people. Umm..I think it followed as such : Carrie, Cynthia, Debra, Kirsten, Ryan, Monica, Jamie, Karem, and I'm pretty sure I'm missing someone. So we then ate and proceeded to SHOP!

Which the guys did not like but OH WELL. Monica and I were on equal footing this night, for I had my aformentioned internal romantic angst AGAIN tonight, as did she with unrequited love from the same man.

Monica and I had never really been friends, I hardly talked to her before Halloween and she never realy talked to me, but we are friends now, bonded over a lost love. Is it not wonderful, to you I ask?

So we felt shopping therapy was in order, and I bought a shirt at Abercromibie and she searched purses at Macy's and Coach.

We then watched the !0:00 Matrix revolutions, and I ate gummi bears. The movie was good, I still felt slightly confused, Trinity's death was way too drawn out and it was slightly cliched, and it didn't feel Matrix-y. Needed more techno fight scenes! But still good.

Meh. So the movie ended at 12:30, I got home at !:00, and I then proceeded to sleep.

Saturday I felt more shopping therapy was in order, I went with mom nad sister, and we saw 'Elf' which I thought was SO FUNNY AND CUTE and then bought a shirt for $12.00 at Hollisters (TWELVE BUCKS! I CRIED FOR JOY!!!) and then had dinner at Dan Marino's, where the waiter gave us completely wrong pasta dishes but we had not the heart to tell him because he was so cute and puppy dog like and reminded us of Orlando Bloom.

WEE! We then shopped SOME MORE, sister bought a HIDEOUS furry white pillow, and mom a cool silky shirt.

Got home at 11:00, sang songs, watched a bit of SNL, and went to bed.

AWOKE THIS MORNING AT AN UNGODLY HOUR AND HERE I AM!!!!

A B IN SPANISH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(I smell like garlic - hehe, but back to..)

IN SPANISH!!!

WHAT IS THIS MADNESS, THIS INSANITY???? IN SPANISH!!!! IT HATH RUINED MINE REPORT CARD FOREVER MORE!! I CRY! I SCREAM!! ALONE IN THE RAIN, TWIRLING AS THE LIGHTNING CRASHES OVERHEAD!

Well, anyway.

I suppose I should let everyone in on my Halloween, I guess.

I showed up at the party looking HOT and FABULOUS. I had on this short slinky dress, thigh - high lacy stockings that showed an alluring glimpse of thigh, long chains of pearls, high heels, and a short black wig in manner of Velma Kelley. I WAS SMOKIN"! Hehe. So yes.

There were billions of people at the party but they all left at about midnight, where the close friends (Melissa, Talia, Tina, Andy, Cynthia, Carrie, Debra, and I) all slept over. Some guys stayed later too, but that was because we were giving them massages. More on that later.

You see, a dangerous thing happened. You know how I said I was totally and completely over Ryan, and that I was lost in a rapturous haze of being content with independence?

Well, I lied.

I didn't KNOW I lied. It came as a surprise, let me tell you. I was innocently eating a Snicker's Bar and he came through the door and it was like SHAZAAM I still REALLY like him. It kind of sucked. But it was sad this time, without hope, because I knew he wasn't interested in me.

And so, the night progressed with me filled with internal romantic angst. Still fun, but appropriately angst-y. I ate lost of candy to make up for it, haha. So we came back from galumphing and trick-or-treating around the neighborhood at about midnight, wheras I fell promptly asleep on Tia (dressed as a vampire) as we were all talking on the sofa.

I incoherently murmured something about waking me up when the pizza arrived, and was lost to dreams.

Happily sleeping away the entire wait for the pizza, I woke refreshed at one in the morning and ready to par-tay. Carrie, the darling duck, had ordered an ENTIRE FLAT CRUST PIZZA just for her boyfriend. I suppose love blinds.

Pizza eating led to scary-movie watching, which led somehow to me singing and playing the guitar, which then progressed towards eating more candy. Then, at some ungodly hour, we slept.

So, THAT WAS HALLOWEEN!
